Korshka

Korshka was beautiful, gentle, and affectionate. This photo was taken just a few days before she passed away. My heart is broken.

My wife and I found her, and she found us, at a pet store in San Diego, California about 15 years ago. There just happened to be a pet adoption event going on in front of the store, with lots of dogs in pens and cats in cages. The dogs were barking and poor Korshka was crying.

We immediately fell in in love with her.

We weren't looking for another pet; just stopping by to pick up some cat food for our other cat Kot. But we just felt so sorry for little Korshka, meowing, afraid of the dogs barking, that we had to rescue her.

We couldn't take her home right away because they had to spay her and give her some shots. It was hard waiting a few days before we could finally bring her home.

What happened after that, I could write a book. She brought so much unconditional love, affection, and laughter to our lives. I am eternally grateful that we found each other.

I love you Korshka, and miss you terribly.
